SOSHIDOE: AN EMERGING NIGERIAN SINGER/SONGWRITER
Soshidoe whose name translates into God in her dialect and the E at the end coming from her name Ella, is a multi-talented singer and entertainer who is shaping the music industry and the future of music with her unique genre-bending fusion of afrobeats, pop, soul and R&B. The Nigerian artist launched her career about a year ago but started singing from an early age. Her music influences come from song arrangements of Rihanna, Jessie J, NF and Soshidoe is looking irrevocably to change the direction of the industry with her brand of music.

Her first single ‘Motions’ comes on the backdrop of hip hop and R&B which is a testament to her maturity, shrouded in lyrics of passion and a profound sense of interconnectedness. It has thumping interlaced beat of distinct amapiano sounds.

She went further to release her 2nd single ‘Ginger Me’, which has helped her carve her niche as she’s seen to tackle issues like emancipation, hope and pursuing goals. Her single was inspired by the need to stand up for one’s self in the midst of hopelessness and despair while trying to chase your own dreams. With so much youthfulness the budding singer flexes her vocal range to give us a glimpse of what’s to come.
